Romania mission is scheduled to open in the month of July through the family of P. Alan and Dora that are currently based in the UK. Dora, a native Romanian herself, has vast experience doing mission in Romania and the Balkan region, while P. Alan also has short-term mission experience in the country.
Romania is part of the group of M40 countries and is expected to play a vital role in East Europe and the Balkans. Romania with nearly 20 million people is the most populous country in the Balkan region, its people are counted among the most religious in Europe.
Meanwhile, Moldova mission is set to open in the beginning of June. This will mark the opening of Balkan region and the expansion of missions in East Europe. Romania and Moldova missions are expected to grow in connection with Ukraine mission forming a chord of three in the Eastern-most region of Europe.
