From the new year of 2021 the Portuguese online church has started to hold group Bible studies biweekly with its most committed listeners. This Tuesday the group Bible study was about the story of Bartimaeus.
Meanwhile the WhatsApp group has continued to grow. Voice Bible study messages in Portuguese have started to be recorded and posted there and also to the Europe Education website where a new section for Portuguese messages has been created. Currently there are participants joining from Portugal, Angola, Mozambique, Brasil, and Guinea Bissau.
One positive development is that Bible listeners have started evangelizing and inviting their friends and relatives and bringing them to the WhatsApp group. Relationship evangelism is especially important and effective for Europeans that have largely a negative perception of churches and are not easily evangelized through strangers.
